Welcome to Be the Change Collaborative! We are a non-profit organization founded by two Chicago Public Schools teachers with the purpose to work with other teachers to develop and implement interdisciplinary curricula. Participants of BCC are empowered to re-imagine learning and teaching using the interdisciplinary approach, which prepares students to be empathetic, curious, and active citizens of the world. BCC Updates:
October 25, 2016

BCC is excited to work with Big Shoulders Fund once more on providing

professional development sessions on interdisciplinary learning and teaching.

Through BSF and the McCormick Foundation grant, we are working with a second

cohort of nine Early Childhood teachers across four schools to develop

interdisciplinary units and eventually see these units come to life in the classroom!

November 4, 2016

BCC introduces our second program - Collaborative Workshops, a space for educators

across Chicago to gather monthly to discuss and develop an interdisciplinary unit focused

on a different topic/theme. We will be hosting our first Collaborative Workshop on

Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 10am-Noon at Robust Coffee Lounge. Space is limited.
